Gurung dress

     Dress is the most important thing in our life. The getup shows the personality of us in the socity. Personally if we used to be tiptop generally people used to curious about us. Same age every cast have their own dress as well as gurung people have their won dress names gurung dress. In gurung dress, ladies used to wear guniyo, cholo, patuko, galek and pachauri. And boys used to wear kachad, vangra, feta etc. gurung people used to wear their dress in the different occasions. This dress is unique and beautiful also. People looks very preety in this dress.

                              It is really owner to have such dress which make us known to the people that dress is gurung and might be they belongs from gurungcommunity.nowadays we can see gurung people used to wear the gurung dress for their interest even they are not gurung it seems how famous gurung dress. The cast I belongs is really great and I proud to be a gurung I have my own  cast dress and mother language and many more.Speacially the little kid, if they wear the dress it seems out of the world. That like something very preety in this earth. 

The festival celebrate in gurung community

  Mostly in gurung community people celebrate so  many festival such as dashain, tihar, maghe sakranti, losar etc. gurung people used to celebrate the festival in the occasion  during the year. In  dasahian gurung people used to cut goats and hens to worship the  goddess durga.all the family do gettoghether and take tika from the elders.

It is believed that the tika and jamara form our elders brings lots of happiness and success in our life as a aasirbad. In tihar  they used to play vaili and sister prays for their brother in vaitika with lots of delicious food and taking the tika in brother’s forhead and brothers used to give gift to sisters. In maghe sakranti  in gurung community mothers used to drink water of her doughter’s feet and give some money. Gurung people eat yan and kurani on this festival.

                                   Now the most important and new year of gurung people it is named losar festival. This festival is one of the important and famous festival to the gurung community. This festival is new year for gurung people because they have 12 barga and in losar one barga barga used to past and another used to come. And everyone’s barga comes once in 12 yrs. People used to organize picnic and enjoy the picnic in this festival to do bye for the going barga and to welcome the upcoming one not to face any complicated situation during the year. In this festival people used to dance and wish  all the people special to them.this festival is celebrated on paush 15^th with the blow of wishes and happiness.

                                 

                               

The job of gurung people

         Usually people do job for surviving and to get some achievement in life. In Nepal mostly people are farmer. They do farming to get the survival of there family.  Few of them are involved in industrial sector and some involve in educational sector. Same as gurung people of villages also do farming and some house made materials to earn some money therefore they can survive. They have to do making home wine, making vangra which is one of the famous gurung dress in their own houses.

          Mostly gurung boys have been seeing in british army and Indian army. Today also they work hard to get the position in the army as well as in other field. The gurung society is developing day bye day in the case of job and achievement. They have produces their own organization, factory, schools etc which is great hear about the community. Generally we can say that gurung community have good response in the case of job and earning because they cant stay freely they do something any how to get money but they live freely.

Lifestyle of gurung cast

            In Nepal the life style of Nepalese people is very low  just because of Nepal government. Per capital income of nepali is very low in  the comparison of another country of the world. Here in Nepal poor people being poorer and rich people being richer day by day because the lack of job opportunity and the corruption in the fields of everywhere. Pokhara the turisiom city but not developed as it should be developed.

            The gurung life style  is we can say nither high nor low because gurungs peoples have their own profession to earn money and most of gurung boys have been in british army,.Teaching field, Organization, their own enterprises etc. and in villages gurung people used to do some house job which helps them to earn money and to make life little up. However gurung people used to celebrate whatever happens in life it should go on and if not they can struggle in life for acievments.those the life style of gurung cast is medium and they live their life as they want the highest one or the medium one.

Reliogn of gurung people

                 The god of peace. Buddha. Gurung people used to follow the Buddha releiogn mostly. They have their own trust on god Buddha.they believe that in this reliogn  there is lots of peace and make mind towards the peace and happiness. They do believe in god                In this world we have such a periodic reliogn we can find such as Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Buddha etc. in Nepal we can  meet different people belongs to different reliong . gurung community have also its own reliogn specially gurung people belongs to Buddha reliogn. But few gurungs are releted in Hindu as well as Buddha. Just because of the festival, the festival which is celebrated in hindu reliogn its used to celebrated in gurung commodity also. Inhance we can say that gurung people are involved in both reliogn. But the fact reliogn of gurungs is Buddha.

and used to worship the god to remember them in the sadness and also in the happiness, they believe that the sarrow is also the path of success by god to make life success and happiness to give incourage in life to get more success. How often the gurung commodity believe in all the reliogn because they think all the god gives us strength in our falour.

The culture of gurung community

                 Gurung casts is one of the mongelian cast. In gurung community they have their own culture which is loved and following by gurung people. In  gurung culture when a new child get born, they used to do namakaran which is known as nauran in nine days of a girl child and in eleven days of a boys child. In six months they celebrate vaatkhulai party and the elders and the realatives used to give blessing and rice to the kid. Also they give the money and gifts to the kid. In gurung culture even in the small things they used to celebrate and they know how to survive happily. They used to teach their mother language to the kid of their family.

                       In gurung community they have different culture to remember and do goodbye to the dead people. When  gurung people die they call the lama or lebri and the lama or lebri worship the dead people to get in heaven. In few days  they used to do argum in the memori of the dead people and pray for them to be in heaven. All the family members are used to supported by the realative and neibours and they left the condolence in  the sarrow  of the family.however they used to remember the dead people and lamps them atleast once in a year.

Gurung society in Pokhara

               Pokhara is a beautiful city where people like visit and stay as long as they can. Obisiously gurung people also love the beautiful place to make home and to get the facilities of science. Here in pokhara we have so many facilities availability better then the villages therefore people used to come here and make the houses for their lifetime. Here in pokhara so many gurung people have made the houses and their own society in different street. The biggest hosuse of gurung society named ‘tamudhee’is the organizer of th e whole gurung culture and programs in different occasion specially in losar.

           

                         Mostly gurung lived here in pokhara they came here from different villages but they have unity just because they belongs to gurung cast. Tamudhee organize theprograms in all the occasion  culturally and to promote the gurung people towards to success. It used to organize so many quiz contest to the gurung studetnts and give them prizes to encourage them for more learning and developing their knowledge about the nation and motherhood of own status. In pokhara there are many gurung people in the sector of poltical, educational, cultural etc they involve in those sector to get the communication with the other people who lived here in pokhara. So the gurung society in pokhara seems good and all the gurung people living here in pokhar with people brotherhoodly.
